The challenge
Safaricom Foundation's CSR portfolio funded 12 community projects annually, but lacked a structured framework to measure impact and attract co-funding from international donors.
What Resmob did
Resmob conducted a Strategic Impact Assessment workshop and redesigned the Foundation's theory of change for three flagship programmes. We trained the CSR team on donor-facing reporting and helped draft co-funding proposals to bilateral agencies.
The outcome
The Foundation secured KES 42 million in co-funding from two bilateral donors within 8 months. Impact reporting quality improved enough to win the EAVCA ESG Award for best social-impact reporting in East Africa.
